BHUBANESWAR: Governor Murlidhar Chandrakant Bhandare today called upon authorities of every institution to ensure implementation of various schemes of reservation for people with disabilities.
Inaugurating the all-India conference on implementation of scheme of reservation for persons with disabilities, organised by the National Federation of the Blind (NFB) here, the Governor said that he as the Chancellor of Universities had issued instructions to strictly follow the reservation policy norms for recruitment of visually challenged teachers in the institutions.
The universities were also putting in place PWD-friendly infrastructure and facilities.
Steps were being taken to open Disability centre and computer facilities with JAWS software for the benefit of visually challenged in every college in the State, he said.
